Test Drive Valet · Effective October 4, 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply when you check in for a test drive at a dealership that uses Test Drive Valet, and to the text messages Test Drive Valet sends you on that dealership’s behalf.
The service
Test Drive Valet (“we”, “us”) provides the check-in app and the record-keeping system a dealership uses for test drives. The dealership you are visiting decides to use it and is responsible for the test drive itself, the vehicle, and the test-drive agreement it asks you to sign. By checking in you agree that the information you give is accurate and is yours to give. How that information is used is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Insurance information and other companies’ names
If a dealership asks about your auto insurance and you do not have your card, the check-in lets you choose your insurance company from a list and enter your policy number, or skip the step. What you choose and enter is recorded as you give it. We do not check it with your insurer, it does not confirm that you are insured or what your policy covers, and we do not send anything to your insurance company.
The insurance company names and logos shown in the check-in are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only so you can identify your own insurer. Test Drive Valet and the dealership are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of those companies, and neither sells or recommends insurance.
SMS Terms
The rest of this page is the SMS Terms: the terms for text messages sent by Test Drive Valet.
The program
Program name: Test Drive Valet check-in messages.
When you check in for a test drive at a dealership that uses Test Drive Valet, you can tick a box asking to be sent your test drive details by text message. If you do, messages are sent to the mobile number you entered at check-in.
How you opt in
By ticking the box on the check-in screen. The box is not ticked for you, and you can check in without ticking it. Consent is not a condition of taking a test drive or of any purchase.
The words beside the box are:
Text me my test drive details. By ticking this box I agree to receive text messages from [the dealership] via Test Drive Valet about my visit at the mobile number above, including messages sent by an automated system. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of taking a test drive or of any purchase. What you will receive
A message confirming your test drive: the vehicle, the salesperson helping you, and a number to reach them. The dealership may send further messages about the same visit. For example:
Kentson American Fork via Test Drive Valet: Welcome, John! Your test drive: 2024 BMW X5 xDrive40i (stock PM-4521). Your salesperson is Marcus Rivera, (801) 555-0134. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
How often
Message frequency varies. Most customers receive one message per visit.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, as charged by your mobile carrier. We do not charge for these messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. To start again, tick the box at your next check-in.
Help
Reply HELP to any message, or email admin@testdrivevalet.com. You can also ask the dealership you visited.
Who may take part
You must be the account holder of the mobile number you provide, or have the account holder’s permission to use it. If you change your number, opt in again at your next check-in.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. See the Privacy Policy.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
